Music Video

We chose to do a video by Tyler, the creator named Yonkers because it was challenging but also do-able with the studio. The most challenging thing was between learning the lyrics and the mannerisms (which Matt failed to accomplish) and also figuring out how we could do the lighting to match what they did in the music video. Also researching was very interesting because of the double meanings behind all of his lyrics.

North By Northwest

1) The film was about a man that was mistaken for a government agent. Then he has to outrun the law across the country a meets a stunning damsel who turns out to be an agent herself.  In the end he finds the real agent and clears his name.
2) The sound was very good for being shot in the late 50's and the lighting was great for having to go back in and add the color after.
3) The story was one of action, romance, adventure and was told through the adventures of roger thorn hill
4) i will apply the great action scenes and also the great close-ups
5) how wide shots mixed with extreme close-ups make up great action
6) the creator did a good job with casting and location
7) he could improve on some audio and also with color correction
8) I am not mad at you for making us watch it, because i get the reason behind it.

5 Strengths

Futuristics: Are fascinated with the future and imagine details about the next day and are visionaries. And so i can help others make their dream turn into a reality. My vision of tomorrow can push me to new heights.

Consistency: Balance is important and have a need to treat everyone the same no matter what situations arise or what people say about them. I can develop policies and procedures that help teams and organizations maintain their integrity while accomplishing their mission.

Maximizer: I can see talents and strengths in others, usually before anyone else does. And i love to help others become excited about their potential. I naturally prefer working with and for the best. I can create strengths within groups by enabling each person to do what he or she naturally does best. I drive toward excellence can lead to a new standard of success.

Positivity: I am generous with praise, quick to smile, and always on the lookout for the upside of the situation. I bring enthusiasm to people, groups, and organizations. I can stimulate others to become more productive and helpful and always seem to find a way to make everything more exciting. Everyone seems to feel better when i am around as a result of my positivity.

Empathy: I can sense the emotions of those around me. I can also feel what others are feeling as though the emotions are my own. I help people express their feelings. I can help build and form new relationships that have great emotional depth

Building a fake wall

To build a flat or a fake wall you need a 4x8 piece of plywood and masonite is cheap and smooth to work with. then smaller pieces of wood to support them up. then nail the smaller pieces of wood around the big sheet of masonite and nail them together then glue to edges and lay the masonite on top then nail it down. then for the jacks to set up the wall cut a 4x8 piece of plywood diagonally. then cut a gouge into the hypotenuse of the triangle at about the halfway point. then lay the flat down and measure 2 inches from the top and bottom. then drill pilot holes in the top and bottom and into frame then screw in. stand the flat upright then drill more pilot holes and screw it into place. finally get a hanging weight like a sand bag to hold down the flat. then you should be done and send it in to art department to make visually appealing.

Film Crew

Producer:  Person that is in charge of the film and scheduling the shots and work day and has to have the vision and drive to get the project done. I think that i would be good at this because last year i wrote and created a short film and co-produced it. And besides from all the stress that came with the job it was rewarding and fun and defiantly something that i would do again.

Director: A creative person who is good at painting pictures when telling stories and this job is usually very stressful and they have a say in most of what goes into the final product. I believe that i would thrive because of my imagination and the way that i like to add little easter eggs in a lot of work for people that understand my way of thinking and humor. And i also have experience co-directing a project last year.

Cinematographer:  The person that is in charge of how the final project will turn out. The person who has the most experience and knowledge the camera should do this job. I am a little hessitant on this job because i have little experience in this area and have been co-cinematographer but my partner was more familiar so took over mostly with the exception of my input. But i do think that as the year goes on and i become more versed in the way everything works and i will become better.

Editor:  The editor is in charge of piecing together the film once it is shot and polishing up the shots to make them flow better. The group member that is the most familiar with final cut pro and has a good eye for what looks best should do this job. This job isn't my favorite thing to do but if i am needed to do it then i will. I have more experience in this area than most of the the other jobs of the film crew but i think that i am not as familiar with this as i am with producer and director.

Project manager:  The manager is the supervisor of the crew that deals with the constraints of the project managment triangle which include cost, time, scope, and quality. I do not know how i would be in this role because it is brand new to me. But i am willing to try it if nobody wanted to fill that position.

Understanding Codecs

First off, Codec stands for compressor/decompressor which is pretty much how to make a file smaller or to work with it, edit it, or display it. some are owned and some are for free and so some computers don't have codecs installed. There are different types of codecs used for different situations, such as... Capture codec: which is what your camera is capturing. Codec deals with images and colors and the clarity of pictures and videos.
